I regolatori di precisione della serie IR sono progettati per essere compatti e leggeri. La pressione massima impostata è stata ampliata da 0,7MPa a 0,8MPa. Il flusso di scarico è stato aumentato di quasi 5 volte (rispetto a SMC IR201, IR401). La staffa opzionale e il manometro possono essere montati sulla parte anteriore o posteriore dell'unità.
