Light conveyor chains are used in a wide variety of applications such as packaging, food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, bottling, class containers, manufacturing and many other industrial applications. These chains are usually manufactured using the components of standard transmission roller chains in combination with specially designed attachments or parts suitable for conveying applications.Raw materials used are high quality carbon steels, stainless steels, plastic resins, carbon steels with protective coatings (such as nickel plating) and carbon steels that undergo special surface hardening treatments like chromizing and nitriding. Conveying application require that the chains work with very high precision. In order to achieve ths, Regina follows a number of production processes that have been developed over the years to supply the customer with the very best possible product.Aside from preloading and running-in processes, which are performed on the entire Regina production, thus including light conveying chains, Regina can supply Light Conveying chains with:• Special length tolerances, much narrower than the minimum required by the International Standards, when the application requires it.• Matching, in case the chain need to work in parallel. Matching is obtained through special assembling, running in and measuring.• Left and right handed chains – in case of sets of chains working in parallel. See matching.• Cut length to be compounded. For long conveying systems (with special tolerance on the total length) Regina supplies cut chains, checked in their length and tagged to make it possible after connecting them together to reach the required tolerance on the total length.• Special lubrication. All Regina chains are supplied pre-lubricated with a standard priduct. More specific lubricants can be employed for some applications where this is required.
