I cuscinetti a una corona di rulli cilindrici sono stati concepiti per sopportare carichi radiali pesanti combinati con velocità elevate. Dato che sono dotati di anello esterno con due flange integrate e anello interno privo di flange, i cuscinetti con design NU possono sopportare lo spostamento assiale in ambo le direzioni. Il design scomponibile è una caratteristica molto vantaggiosa, perché semplifica il montaggio e rende intercambiabili i componenti dei cuscinetti.
