The Veepac seal is a set of chevrons made of textile-reinforced elastomer. The retaining ring guides the other chevrons. Special versions have an anti-extrusion ring on the inside or outside (see type CH/NEI or CH/NEO). In the standard version, the retaining ring is made of cotton-reinforced elastomer, which gives it good resistance to extrusion. The intermediate chevrons are the actual sealing elements. Their particular shape means that the sealing efficiency increases with pressure. In the standard version, they are made of cotton-reinforced NBR and pure NBR. The pre-tightening ring distributes the pressure evenly over the other elements. It is made of acetal resin or nitrile elastomer reinforced with cotton for diameters greater than 300 mm (standard material)
